Hi, ***..

Last night we had a talk on line about philosophy. On my birthday I hadn't expected to have such a good time with you. I had noticed that it was the biggest present from you.

Sincerely,
Mer

Hi, Hiro

Thanks! I wanted to read your discourse.

It is somehow hard to get back in Fukuoka frequently. I need to take a rest for one day -Sunday since I'm working for full six days.

I don't think this life lasts for good. I've got many plans for future to come.

I will send you my comment soon after I read.

As to Bible study book, I want to stop continuing for a while. I want to keep on doing Bible study by sending my question and receiving your reply as we used to do for the first time.

Best wishes, and best regards to your brother and his wife!

Hello, ***..

Since the name of Japanese is written in ideograms, we are sometimes not so particular about how to read the characters. I read Taisetsu instead of Daisetsu in the first name of Suzuki though, they are the same figure.

The philosophy of Hiromatsu is similar to that of Althusser. Althusser...it was difficult to guess how to spell.

So I raised three figures in total.

It was intersting you found Kojin Karatani's work On Kant and Marx with reference to Hiromatsu. Karatani is a literal critic, so it might be much easier to understand than reading the work of Hiramatsu itself..

Best Wishes

Hi, Tim..

Buddhism scholar, he was known as Daisez Teitaro Suzuki in Western world.

Mer

Hi, ***...

Aside from my personal preference, many people admit first authentic Japanese philosopher is Kitaro Nishida, who wrote ' The Study of Goodness'. He learned in Tokyo and later taught in Kyoto. I hadn't read his masterpiece and largely I forgot what his idea was but as far as I could read in ethics textbook, he emphasises the importance of intuition rather than the analytical method to reach the truth.

Taisetsu Suzuki is even more famous overseas than domestically. He is Buddhism philosopher. Buddhism philosophy is very different from Western thought such as Greek philosophy, Christianity, Enlightenment thought. I think the core of Buddhism lies in how to reach the Emptiness through practice like meditation.

As to modern philosopher, I pick out Wataru Hiromatsu, his main writing is ' common subjective being structure of the world ' written only in Japanese, I think.

That's it what I recommend.

Talk to you soon..

How about teaching English in Japan?

Always all class is held in English only.

You'd better much more be aware of how you use a standard English like 'Did you go to America' instead of saying 'Did you "went" to America?

Or you ought to pronouce 'visit' like vi-zit, not vi-sit. Bro-th in the, that -er, not bro-th in thin, thick -er. You have no problem If you can succeessfully correct Philipian particular way of speaking in Filipina English.

I think it's better for you to come to Japan first.

Dear Br Hiro

Thank you for your research. I was able to know how Jehovah's Witnesses think about the consistency of one book. I think some of prophesies in Bible were realised, others not yet, but eventually all prophesies will be realised since Bible is a word of God. It is important for us to have faith on prophesies. It is not very important whether some prophesies are already realised, but important thing for us is to have our faith to a word of God.

By the way, frankly speaking I wanted to take part in a wedding ceremony. You see I must be absent at work if I attend the wedding ceremony. Then....

Look at the calendar. It was Bhudda's nirvana day, not Big Pacific day!

In Japan's tradition no wedding ceremony is held in Bhudda's nirvana day, then you see a comapny usually admits their employees to attend the wedding ceremony, it becomes the appropriate reason for employees to take a holiday. But they would think questionable if I say I want to take a holiday for a friend of wedding on one of the Bhuddist nirvana day.

If the wedding day happened to be the Big Pacific day it would much easier for me to take a holiday.

That's my murmuring, please ignore it! It would have no problem if all attendants were Jehovah's Witnesses, though.

Wait for a while till I send a reply on on line study.

Sincerely,

Mer

me: And other aspect why Chrstianity ruled was the rulers wanted to deliberately keep people away from the truth. Christianity belief is far from scientific truth.

me: Nietzsche was a philologist. But his first thesis The Birth of Tragedy shows little about his philological view. His nostalgy to Classical Greek Age was obvious and accidentally common with the yearning expressed by Mishima. I agree Classical Greek Age was idyllic, but it was a peudo ideal society artificially struck a balance under the permanent slave

me: Biggest idols at that time was Christianity. His entire works are a record of his intense fight against Christianity. Twilight here means specifically dust.
dust, sorry..
dusk, sorry...

Hi, Br ***

>What is "decalogue of Moses?",

Ten Commendments.

>and specifically, which part of sermon on the mount did you think was not practical?

I think it might be practical eventually, but unrealistic at least.

You already taught me before that we ought not to take all Jesus's words literary. Even considering that, I think some of his expressions in his sermon is simply exaggerated.

I will reply on Bible study on line 3 when I found time next.

Mer

Hi, **

It's my pleasure to share precious moment studying with you.

Mer

Hi, **.

It might take some time but let's keep pace with one by one.

Isaiah was lived from 740 BC to 700 BC and wrote a Book of Isaiah, but his original one is from chapter 1 to 39. Chapter 40 to 55 was written during the end of Babylon captivity by some others. 56 to 66 was written later by others.

Of course we have been not discussing historical accuracy or scholastic view on Bible, but in fact the tone of a book drastically changes from chapter 40 and not single name Isaiah appears from chapter 40.

Basically prophecy of Hebrew Bible is a presentation of hope and Bible was written over a long period of time

I clicked both two links you mentioned above. I was able to hear a song ' Love affair is war' in a woman's voice, probably synthesised. That's all I can tell so far. Forgive...I will ask about it in my colleagues tomorrow.
