2009
Dec 31, '08 12:28 PM for everyone
Well well... to be honest I hardly fulfilled any of the resolutions that I had set for myself in the year of 2008. It has been a very rough year for me... and I would say it has been the roughest year in the whole of my 24 years so far.But the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me this year was that I grew closer to God and I started life afresh in a new church, together with my favourite person in the world, Ben.Contrary to I had previously thought, going to church for worship is not such a dreadful thing. In fact it brings me peace in a time of insecurity. I know Ben has been feeling very happy inside because he probably still finds it hard to believe that there I am, standing just beside him and singing the hymns with him like never before. I've hardly changed in terms of my personality - my flaws are still sticking out like a sore thumb - but I think I have learnt to interpret religion on a different level, and together with this new understanding brings hope like never before. As such, year 2008 is coming to a close, and it being such an eventful year for me, for the world, let us hope for a brighter year ahead. And since I cant stop setting resolutions (aka expectations) for myself, here goes:For the year 2009, I would like to1) Return to where I was from and bravely face challenges in the face of adversity. 2) Grow closer to God, together with Ben. To serve Him and understand Him better.3) Bring my family and friends closer.4) Start planning for marriage. Get my future home.5) Improve (dramatically!) my cooking skills. 6) Stop thinking of the past.7) Learn to be more independent.8) Pick up new skills and improve on existing ones. Of course these are very generic - some are not even within my control. But like what Ben says, God knows me best and will plan the best for me, so I guess I should just learn to relax for once....

Hey Toh...take it easy!! I married 13 years ago. Since then my marital status has been giving me many responsibilities and obligations. Instead my wife has been feeling much secured. It's good to have some one who is more relying on me. That's what I think we are social being. Hope you be married in 2009!!Happy new year!
